THE PRINCIPLES OF FREEMASONRY
Freemasonry is a fraternal organization dedicated to Brotherly love, Relief and Truth. Brotherly love is a strong bond that unites men of like mind. Relief is offering a helping hand to people who need assistance. Truth is expressed as a Mason being honest and truthful with all people. These are the Principles espoused by most regular Masonic Lodges.
Esoteric Freemasonry is an organization for men and women dedicated to Compassionate Love, Charity and Truth.
Compassionate Love is both accepting and forgiving of all others including those who would harm us for their own pleasure and gain. Compassionate Love is a goal we as Esoteric Freemasons strive to inculcate in our lives. Compassionate love means sometimes having to accept the unacceptable and forgive the unforgivable.
Charity is giving a portion of our time, energy and money to those less fortunate than ourselves, not for the recognition it brings us, but because it's our duty as a Freemason. Charity is striving to balance the needs of our own family against the needs of all our brothers and sisters in this world. Charity means sometimes giving up something we want because of the needs of others.
Truth is both our goal as seekers after truth and our way of living life as an Esoteric Freemason. Speaking and living the truth brings us closer to the Divine and all of humanity. It is the Truth we seek and the truth we live as Esoteric Freemasons.
Compassionate Love, Charity and Truth are the principles of Esoteric Freemasonry and the guide and rule for living a meaningful life as an Esoteric Freemason.
